The founder of Tesla, Elon Musk is on the show this week. Tesla is a new car company based in California that produces the only highway legal electric vehicle in the U.S. President Obama has called for one million plug-in electric cars on the road by 2015 to recharge our auto industry, create new jobs and improve the environment. In June, Tesla secured $465 million in federal low-interest loans through the U.S. Department of Energy, as part of the administration’s plan to invest in alternative energy vehicles. The Mayor and Elon talk about the future of the car industry and the role of electric vehicles.
